the presure test on new cap should have been done when made. its called hydro test! Now they r worried about the piping not strong enough! Integrity test to piping also should have been done first. New tires on a car dont u check for alignment too!

Thats why we stopped it few days ago make sure they tested it properly. Dont hold your breath its not fixed. They r saying this test is to see if hurricane comes can they shut it off? As of now I guess they can.

They are not pressure testing the cap or pipe to the surface. They are concerned that the flow of hydrocarbons over the last 80+ days has caused erosion of the formation on the backside of the casing. This could cause a leak from weak pipe.

OMG the pressure test is for the oil to make sure their is no leaks in the rockbed not the cap. do you really think they would put it at the bottom of the ocean then test the cap hahahaha.you made my day
